Jul 27, 2021 at 5:49 PMSince July 1st, Klaas Lange has been leading the operations of the company L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o in the Czech Republic. The 34-year-old officially succeeds Simeon Breuer. Lange, who completed his training at L.I.T. AG, will focus with his five-member team at the locations of Mělník and Kutná Hora on expanding national and international road transport, including intermodal transport.
(Brake) “Klaas Lange has already proven himself in several responsible positions and is now one of our established leaders. Therefore, the promotion is the next logical step and a sign of his top performance,” says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and board member of the L.I.T. Group. Lange took over the operational business from Breuer last year. With the official transition, Klaas Lange now has “a greater scope for action,” according to Breuer. Lange himself will operate from the company’s headquarters in Brake, where he is responsible for business development, including sales, as well as project management for L.I.T. Speditions GmbH.
Further Expanding the Czech Market
With the new managing director, the very interesting Czech market is to be further developed, according to Breuer: “Czechia has grown into a big player among European industrial locations. The country is particularly attractive for the automotive industry.” Breuer sees opportunities in the multitude of local suppliers to expand L.I.T.’s intermodal business and bring more transport onto the rails. Currently, the company, together with the rail logistics provider Captrain Deutschland GmbH and the joint venture SmartRail Logistics GmbH, operates three trains per week that transport automotive parts from suppliers in Northern Czechia, Southern Poland, Saxony, and Thuringia to a well-known automotive manufacturer in Emden. Additionally, the L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o., founded by Breuer in 2014, has its own fleet consisting of mega trailers and swap bodies. While this fleet is to be significantly expanded in the medium term, the branch relies on the total fleet of 1,100 vehicles of L.I.T. AG to meet the needs of its major customers. The branch also plans to broaden its personnel structure in the future.
Part of the Group Since 2006
Klaas Lange began his career in 2006 with an apprenticeship as a merchant for forwarding and logistics services at L.I.T. AG and, after successfully completing it, worked as a transport manager for JIT lines at L.I.T. International Forwarding Ltd. in the UK. In 2012, he completed his professional training with a degree as a state-certified business economist at the German Academy of Foreign Trade and Transport in Bremen, followed by studies at Oxford Brookes University. Since 2016, he has been working again for L.I.T. AG.
