2. August 2021The established IATA freight forwarder Quick Cargo Service has used the Corona period to strategically reposition itself and establish an eight-member director team. Starting August 1, QCS, under the leadership of Robert Weckwerth, will set up its own branch directly at the airport in Leipzig. This branch is intended to become a hub for e-commerce and aerospace.
(PressBox: Mörfelden-Walldorf) The management of Quick Cargo Service will now consist of a total of eight members: Stephan Haltmayer, CEO, Dieter Haltmayer, Managing Director, Dr. Jennifer Melnyk, Director of Finance, Nico Haltmayer, Director of Sales & Business Development, Heidi Haltmayer, Director of Administration & Marketing, Markus Klein, Director of IT, Ingo Schmich, Director of Seafreight, and Oliver Krautter, Director of Airfreight. This new structure is intended to ensure that synergies are optimally utilized and decisions can be made uniformly and quickly in a federal structure with a total of twelve branches nationwide in the company’s core areas of seafreight and airfreight.
More Unified in the Market
“In times of increasingly rapid upheavals and processes, I am convinced that we can achieve more together as a director team. Both Ingo Schmich and Oliver Krautter have many years of expertise in the field of seafreight and airfreight, providing entrepreneurial foresight and unrestricted acceptance and appreciation from all branch managers due to their long-standing positions in leadership roles in our company. This makes us more agile and synergistically unified in the market,” summarizes CEO Stephan Haltmayer. Additionally, the Director of Sales & Business Development has been newly created as a staff position. “This area has been successfully developed from scratch by Nico Haltmayer over the past five years and is now rightly defined as a staff position due to its importance in the company. All other staff positions essentially already existed and have now just been clearly defined again,” explains Stephan Haltmayer.
Strategy of Building a Dense Network
Under the leadership of experienced logistics expert Robert Weckwerth, who is already responsible for the two offices in Berlin, Quick Cargo Service will establish its own branch directly at the airport in Leipzig starting August 1. Quick Cargo Service is thus following its strategy of continuous and dense network building. Nationwide, the company is now present with 12 of its own offices (Frankfurt, Hamburg seafreight and airfreight location, Berlin, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Munich, Hanover, Cologne, Nuremberg, Gronau, and Leipzig) and has additional branches in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London, Basel, Zurich, Copenhagen, and Warsaw across Europe. The branch in Leipzig will be an important hub for the logistics provider, especially in the area of e-commerce logistics and aerospace logistics. “Around Leipzig, we already have an extensive customer base. Customers that we can now serve even better locally. It is an economically interesting area for us,” summarizes branch manager Robert Weckwerth the company’s motivations. As a professional service provider that prioritizes customer concerns, it is essential for us to always be close to our customers and thus directly accessible and responsive, concludes Haltmayer.
