Jul 30, 2021 at 7:31 PMRhenus High Tech celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new central hub in Niederaula, Hesse, on July 29. The logistics complex will also be utilized by Rhenus Home Delivery and represents an important expansion in the network for end customer deliveries. The completion of the facility is planned for early 2022.
(Holzwickede/Niederaula) After the planned completion of the logistics facility in early 2022, the two units in Niederaula will have 14,000 square meters of storage space and an additional 1,500 square meters of modern office space. The shared use is expected to create synergy effects to better meet customer needs.
At the new location, both technically demanding high-tech products as well as furniture or white goods will be handled, which will then be delivered and assembled nationwide at the final point of use through specialized networks in two-man handling. Thanks to its central location in the middle of Germany, Niederaula is an ideal complement to the existing network. The connection to the A4, A5, and A7 motorways allows for closer proximity to customers.
Joint Training Academy
The complex includes a joint training academy where several hundred employees can be trained annually. Particularly in the area of Rhenus High Tech, extensive and regular training of the driver teams is necessary to ensure the handling of technically demanding goods at the highest quality. Rhenus is thus consistently continuing its strategic focus on the themes of competence and quality leadership.
The training room allows for instruction in large groups and in various compositions. “We are still looking for committed leaders for the exciting and challenging tasks in Niederaula,” emphasizes Franz Kronschnabl, Managing Director of Rhenus High Tech. In addition to a modern, bright, and spacious working environment, these new leaders will encounter established and solid structures in both units.
