4. August 2021Around a Thousand Transport Companies Prequalified
4. August 2021Night Star Express is committed to the Hünfeld region, where the main hub of the night express service provider is located. €20 for each home goal of the SG Viktoria Bronnzell’s first team will benefit Tim Goldbach, a former athlete from the region who is severely disabled after a violent crime. A fundraising campaign aims to generate even more proceeds.
(Press release; Unna) The initiative was sparked by Night Star Express employees André Jehn and Rüdiger Spiegel. Both feel connected to the SG Viktoria Bronnzell club as former players and current stadium announcers. “Tim’s fate has touched us for years, and we wanted to help. Our employer was immediately ready to support us.”
Social Commitment as a Matter of Course
Managing Director Matthias Hohmann on social engagement in his company: “We regularly support various projects. Our annual Christmas donations are a fixed part of our activities. Last year, for example, they went to ‘Die Tafel e.V.’, a hospice in Dortmund, and to the working group of recognized workshops for the blind. We particularly like to consider charitable organizations and clubs that are close to our employees’ hearts and for which they are personally committed.”
Presumably a Victim of Violent Crime
It is not entirely clear what happened on the night Tim was found severely injured. His parents suspect that the now 29-year-old was beaten up. Since then, he has been in a vegetative state, unable to walk or speak.Rüdiger Spiegel, head of the Night Star Express main hub in Hünfeld, is pleased that he can help in this situation: “We discussed everything in advance with Uwe Goldbach, Tim’s father. Tim needs many therapies, which are only partially covered by health insurance. With the donations, we can contribute to ensuring that Tim receives this support and that his life becomes more pleasant. And of course, we are cheering for the team to score many home goals!”
Fundraising Campaign
André Jehn likes the idea of doing good together. The head of system and traffic planning at Night Star Express has therefore proposed a fundraising campaign. As a new sponsor of his home club, the company is placing donation boxes at the sports field and promoting the campaign. This way, even more proceeds are expected to be raised.Donation Account:German Palliative FoundationIBAN: DE65 530 601 80 0200 0610 00BIC: GENODE51FULCooperative Bank FuldaPurpose: Tim Goldbach(Note: If you include your address in the subject line, you will automatically receive a donation receipt within four weeks.)
