11. August 2021Hapag-Lloyd Introduces ‘Efficient Cargo Claims Handling’
11. August 2021Jungheinrich has delivered 57 electric counterbalance forklifts to the BLG Logistics Group in Erfurt. The fleet mainly consists of compact three-wheeled forklifts of the type EFG 216k. Its double rear wheel allows the vehicle to make 180° turns on the spot, enabling flexible work in tight spaces while also considering ergonomics.
(Hamburg/Erfurt) The EFG 216k from Jungheinrich is particularly suitable for ramp operations and the quick loading and unloading of trucks. In addition, it is capable of storing and retrieving loads weighing up to 1,600 kg at heights of up to seven meters. Gregor Ringwelsky, Jungheinrich Key Account Manager, says: “For the BLG distribution center in Erfurt, which specializes in the furniture industry, the EFG 216k is the perfect vehicle. We are very pleased that our yellow fleet will be in operation here in the future.”
Diverse All-Rounder EFG 216k
Three-phase technology and Jungheinrich’s energy-efficient technology concept PureEnergy give the EFG 216k a particularly high efficiency. With a single battery charge, it can operate for two shifts – regardless of the operating conditions. The steering column of the EFG 216k can be adjusted in height and tilt, and the lever and axle configuration of the controls can also be customized. This provides an ergonomic workplace with high comfort even during operation.
Reliable Customer Service via Call for Service App
For its new forklift fleet, Jungheinrich offers BLG a complete service package. This includes the use of the “Call for Service App,” which allows Jungheinrich customer service to be reached directly from mobile devices, 24/7. This ensures particularly high planning reliability and continuous operational readiness of the fleet. BLG saves a lot of time by using the app and can simultaneously view the current processing status transparently at any time.
Successful Collaboration
Jungheinrich and BLG Logistics are already successfully collaborating at other locations as well. The BLG locations in Geiselwind and Waiblingen have recently been equipped with Jungheinrich material handling equipment that utilizes the well-known lithium-ion technology.
