25. August 2021The Berlin cargo bike manufacturer citkar is participating in the Phoenix Donation Tour 2021, where all donations go to the Gerald Asamoah Foundation for children with heart diseases. In August and September, Werner Messing from Rhede in North Rhine-Westphalia will ride a total of 2,500 kilometers across Germany with the Loadster cargo bike from citkar. He will visit nearly all clubs in the 1st Bundesliga as well as five children’s heart clinics.
(Berlin) For many years, Werner Messing, coach and consultant, has been socially engaged for a good cause. In 2021, the passionate cyclist is embarking on a special tour: Messing is raising money for the Gerald Asamoah Foundation on his Phoenix Donation Tour, which helps children with heart diseases and their families to lead a life as carefree as possible after surgery. For this noble cause, citkar is providing him with a Loadster Delivery, which will reliably accompany him on the 2,500-kilometer journey.
Werner Messing and citkar have one goal: to collect many donations to enable children to have the expensive heart surgery. The Berlin company and the Rhede cyclist are working completely voluntarily, as the Loadster and its accessories are donated by citkar, while the travel costs are privately covered by Werner Messing and sponsored by benefactors. This way, 100% of all donations go to the Gerald Asamoah Foundation.
Innovative cargo bike with large advertising space
Werner Messing has been a successful fundraiser for socially relevant projects for years. He expresses his enthusiasm about the collaboration with citkar: “For my largest project to date, I was looking for a cargo bike that is innovative and modern while also offering a large advertising space. By a fortunate coincidence, I came to citkar, who provided me with the Loadster, a fantastically eye-catching and well-thought-out cargo bike. I am very happy about the cooperation and thank citkar on behalf of all donors for the professional and reliable support already now.”

The Phoenix Donation Tour 2021
The Phoenix Donation Tour will visit a total of 18 Bundesliga clubs, the DFB, and five children’s heart clinics. Football professionals, club representatives, officials, and doctors will sign the Loadster, making it a unique piece. The tour starts on August 29 in Rhede and ends after approximately 2,500 kilometers on September 25 back there. A QR code on the Loadster provides direct access to the donation platform. Donations can also be made directly to the Gerald Asamoah Foundation. All donations go 100% to the foundation’s projects for children with heart diseases. In January, the Loadster will be auctioned at the annual gala of the Gerald Asamoah Foundation, and the proceeds will also go to the projects.
