The new feature is available worldwide. The new Closed Shop feature simplifies dispatching. Transport orders can be shared with closed user groups.
(Bonn) The logistics startup Saloodo! has integrated a new function into its freight platform that makes it even easier for shippers to find perfectly matching freight forwarders for their transport needs. With the ‘Closed Shop’ feature, companies can now offer their transport orders to pre-selected transport service providers upon request – and this is available worldwide.
“The Closed Shop is a great example of how we at Saloodo! continuously develop the freight platform – always closely aligned with the needs of our customers,” explains Dr. Antje Huber, CEO of Saloodo!. “This feature was the wish of many shipping companies on the Saloodo! platform, as well as specialized freight forwarders. With the Closed Shop, we increase the efficiency of transport allocation while simultaneously making daily work easier for all our customers, whether shippers or freight forwarders.”
Freight Platform Within the Freight Platform
The Closed Shop is a closed user group within the Saloodo! freight platform. It is a group of users with access to resources that are only available to this group. There are different variants: On one hand, transport service providers with special trucks on the freight platform are assigned to various Closed Shops. For example, transport orders for freight forwarders with construction vehicles can be displayed exclusively to them.
On the other hand, shippers can also create their own Closed Shop with preferred carriers. In the case of a transport request from the shipper, this will be displayed exclusively to the carriers within the Closed Shop. This feature is therefore not only interesting for large, globally operating companies but also for niche markets or business areas where strict transport regulations apply.
Win-Win Situation for Both Sides
If companies wish to participate in the Closed Shop procedure, they first register with Saloodo!. After being granted access for Closed Shop use, these companies enter the details of their transport order on the platform as usual. However, before publishing their transport request on the freight platform, they can select whether the request should be directed exclusively to the freight forwarders within the individual Closed Shop. In this case, they only need to click a switch, and the freight forwarders within the Closed Shop will be notified of the new transport request. They can then submit their offer for the order that is also tailored to them – a true win-win situation for both sides.
More than 30,000 Shippers on the Platform Daily
The Closed Shop feature is, of course, available worldwide. The previously described customer-centricity of the intuitive and user-friendly digital road freight transport platform is now experienced daily by more than 30,000 shippers and over 12,000 transport companies in more than 50 countries across 4 continents. Since its founding in 2016, Saloodo! has continuously expanded, also outside of Europe into growth markets such as the Middle East and Africa. Last year, Saloodo! launched the first unified global digital freight marketplace for road transport, enabling seamless cross-border and market transport processing. Most recently, the logistics startup also launched its digital freight platform in Argentina.
