eFrexx GmbH expands its management team, emphasizing its ambitions for international growth. Effective September 20, 2021, Guido Meyer has been appointed CFO/COO (Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer) of the Düsseldorf-based logistics platform. Founder Achim Quaken remains CEO of eFrexx.
(Ratingen/Düsseldorf) In addition to overseeing finances, 54-year-old Guido Meyer will also be responsible for driving the internationalization of the software company.
“We have developed dynamically over the past few years and have long outgrown the status of a start-up. With regard to the internationalization of eFrexx, it is now essential to adapt the structures accordingly and thus create the conditions to continue our solid growth,” says eFrexx founder and CEO Achim Quaken. The responsibilities among the managing directors are clearly defined: Quaken remains CEO and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Meyer will henceforth be responsible for finances. Additionally, he is tasked with advancing the company’s internationalization.
More than 20 years of leadership experience in the IT industry
“With Guido Meyer, we have gained a recognized industry expert. We are convinced that he will make a significant contribution to the further development of our company,” says Quaken. The trained business economist comes with over 20 years of experience in various positions in the German IT and service industry to the Düsseldorf software specialist. After previously working as Corporate Finance and Controlling Director in the international hotel industry, Meyer joined the joint venture SITA Airport IT GmbH in Düsseldorf in 2006, an IT service provider focused on the air transport industry. There, he played a key role in the successful development of the young company. As the overall responsible managing director, he led the areas of IT operations, finance, business support, and large deals for over eight years.
Immense potential
Meyer looks forward to his new role: “eFrexx has immense potential when it comes to developing innovative transport solutions and their international marketing.” eFrexx offers a customizable software-as-a-service solution through its namesake cloud platform, specifically tailored for shippers and carriers. They can manage tenders for sea, air, truck, and rail transport through the platform, saving an average of 30 percent on their freight costs.
