11. October 20212021, 2018, and 2012: Last week, logistics service provider GROUP7 was awarded “Bavaria’s Best 50” for the third time and received a porcelain lion as a symbol. CEO Günter Jocher was able to personally accept the award. The logistics service provider significantly increased its workforce and revenue last year.
(Munich) The Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology awards this distinction to particularly growth-oriented medium-sized companies that have been able to increase their number of employees and their revenue above average in recent years. “It was not easy to meet the conditions for growth and revenue during the Corona times. But as the GROUP7 team, we came together more closely and opened up new markets for ourselves. Instead of going into short-time work, we have grown to 600 employees,” explains GROUP7 CEO Günther Jocher. At the same time, the logistics service provider increased its revenue to 150 million euros in 2020.
In competition with IT companies, the pharmaceutical industry, and construction firms
“We are particularly proud of this year’s porcelain lion. Leading companies from various sectors, including IT, construction, and pharmaceuticals, participated in the competition,” says Jocher. The logistics service provider GROUP7 operates worldwide for its customers: by air freight, sea freight, by rail from Asia, and by truck. With nine branches in Germany and 195 locations worldwide, the 15-year-old company handles contract logistics across 265,000 square meters of warehouse space throughout Germany.
