20. October 2021Jungheinrich and Nico Rosberg are jointly committed to electromobility and sustainability. The sustainability entrepreneur and 2016 Formula 1 World Champion will represent the leading solutions provider for intralogistics as a brand ambassador in the future.
“Nico Rosberg is not only an icon of motorsport but also shares Jungheinrich’s passion for sustainable technologies for climate protection as an investor and visionary,” says Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO of Jungheinrich AG. The former Formula 1 driver is a co-founder of the Greentech Festival, a global platform for future technologies in the fields of mobility, nutrition, agriculture, finance, fashion, and energy. Since retiring from Formula 1, Rosberg has been a prominent advocate for electromobility and sustainable entrepreneurship. “We need new visions and smart technologies for our planet. This includes advancing electrification and decarbonization in all areas of our economy – especially in mobility,” says Rosberg. “To further push e-mobility, I am going into the race together with Jungheinrich.”
Jungheinrich has been focusing on electromobility since its founding and is a pioneer and innovation driver of lithium-ion technology. Exactly ten years ago, Jungheinrich was the first manufacturer of industrial trucks worldwide to launch a series vehicle with a lithium-ion battery on the market.
Creating Sustainable Values
“We want to create sustainable values – this goal is shared by Jungheinrich and Nico Rosberg,” explains Dr. Brzoska. “Nico gives a face to our commitment and our work. At the same time, we want to develop ideas together and work on concrete solutions and applications for electrification solutions, energy efficiency, and sustainability, to demonstrate what is possible in the warehouse of the future. With our new brand ambassador Nico Rosberg, we will place this commitment even more at the center of our work towards our customers and the public.”
