21. October 2021The e-mobility specialist Quantron AG will soon manufacture commercial vehicles in-house. The project “QUANTRON vision 2025” creates a strong brand identity and optimizes the aerodynamics and energy efficiency of its vehicles through a unique design. The Italian design expert Fabio Filippini and the Spanish consulting firm support QUANTRON with their international expertise.
(Augsburg) Quantron AG, a specialist in commercial vehicles with both fully electric and hydrogen fuel cell drives, is on track to become an OEM for emission-free vehicles. To strengthen the product and brand identity of QUANTRON, the company is bringing in international design expertise. The first steps include the design of a 12-meter bus, a light truck, and a heavy US truck.
The goal of the “QUANTRON vision 2025” project is to build a strong brand DNA by creating a unique QUANTRON look and feel.
Vehicle design not only serves an aesthetic function but also has a significant impact on aerodynamics and, consequently, on the vehicle’s energy consumption.
International Design Expertise for a Unique Vehicle Design
The experts accompanying QUANTRON on this journey are well-known figures from the mobility industry: Italian vehicle designer and design strategy consultant Fabio Filippini – who led Pininfarina Transportation Design in Turin for over six years – and the Spanish consulting firm for design and innovation Mormedi, led by Jaime Moreno.
Fabio Filippini on his collaboration with Quantron AG: “QUANTRON has developed very strong roots in its history. It is a great challenge for a designer to transform these into the new world of QUANTRON, which is a much more complex ecosystem of services, existing and new products. For this, I have additionally involved Mormedi, who specialize in this type of brand identity in the transport sector. This way, we can ensure that we are up to the special challenge as a team.”
Jaime Moreno from Mormedi adds: “This is a great opportunity. We need brands like QUANTRON today that are committed to emission-free solutions. And they are not dreamers; they are already building vehicles. What we want to offer QUANTRON is a vision of what the new products will look like in the next five to ten years.”
QUANTRON vision 2025
The “QUANTRON vision 2025” project begins with a unique QUANTRON design for a 12-meter bus, which will be launched in the near future. A QUANTRON design for a light truck and a heavy US truck are also in planning.
Michael Perschke, CEO of Quantron AG, explains: “Quantron AG aims to become a global leader in emission-free transport services and products. Therefore, the unique aesthetics of the design must align with the brand DNA of QUANTRON, which stands for technology and emission freedom. There is no better team to give QUANTRON a global identity than Fabio Filippini and Moreno. Our goal is for our sustainability-focused customers to recognize a Quantron product at first glance by 2025, which is clean, highly developed, and technically sophisticated, representing the future of sustainable transport.”
