Night Star Express and Lagermax AED Start Cooperation
Nov 8, 2021 at 6:56 PMThe city of Meersburg is starting to build a CO2-free logistics system. Its new project “Meersburg electrifies” aims to raise awareness for emission-free commercial vehicles while educating about the impact of vehicle emissions on the environment. By acquiring an emission-free transporter from QUANTRON, the city of Meersburg is setting a good example.
(Augsburg/Meersburg) The fully electric Q-Light will now supply the gastronomy sector in Meersburg and the surrounding area through the project partner and gastro-logistics provider Geyer Food Konzept.
At the event on Saturday, October 23, the vehicle was ceremoniously handed over to the city of Meersburg. Mayor Robert Scherer stated: “We were looking for a company and finally found it in QUANTRON, which converted a commercially available diesel truck into a fully electric vehicle, as such vehicles were not available from German manufacturers.”
The Q-Light is ideal for delivery services in daily urban traffic. With its fully electric drive, it is not only emission-free but also operates quietly. This allows the transporter to be used during early morning and nighttime hours. The special feature of the vehicle is that the body has its own high-voltage batteries, which means that the vehicle’s range is not reduced by the cooling performance of the body. With various body options, the vehicle is suitable for flexible use in a wide range of areas. Additionally, Quantron AG also offers the Q-Light as a hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.
Important Sign for a Green Future
Christoph Wede, Head of Sales Trucks & Bus EMEA at Quantron AG, congratulated the city of Meersburg and Geyer Food Konzept on their sustainable approach: “The city of Meersburg is sending an important signal for an environmentally conscious and green future by switching to emission-free transport. We at QUANTRON are pleased to contribute to this change with our environmentally friendly Q-Light BEV.”
