Online System Logistics Gains Hintzen and Transland as Partners
10. November 2021Registered freight forwarders and transport service providers can now create more detailed profiles on the eFrexx bidding platform. This makes it even easier for shippers to find the right provider for their specific transport needs. Additionally, carriers benefit from this new option: their visibility on eFrexx noticeably increases, along with their chances of securing new contracts.
(Ratingen) With the Software-as-a-Service solution from eFrexx GmbH, both spot and contract tenders for transport via road, rail, sea, and air can be processed digitally.
“Standing out in public representation from the competition is an increasingly important criterion – also for the transport service providers represented on our platform. Until now, having a personal homepage was essentially the only tool for this,” says eFrexx founder and CEO Achim Quaken. “We now also offer providers the opportunity to create their own profile on eFrexx to optimally present themselves and their strengths and services.”
Specifically, this means that registered transport providers on the online platform can precisely define which continents, countries, and even which cities they serve, as well as what capacities are available for a specific transport route or target region. They can also specify the mode of transport and describe their specialties, such as hazardous goods or temperature-controlled transport. Furthermore, it is possible to provide all relevant master data and general information such as addresses and email addresses, contacts, and service portfolios, as well as their logos, social media accounts, references, and certificates. This applies to both the entire company and individual branches.
Filtering Options for Transport Tenders
The new option also allows transporters to link different employees with various transport routes. This information enables shippers to use the diverse filtering options on eFrexx to precisely allow those service providers for their transport tenders who can actually meet the respective requirements.
“This significantly reduces the effort per tender and results in a substantial gain in efficiency. This applies to both shippers and freight forwarders and carriers,” says Quaken. For the latter, for example, the chances of being entrusted with the contract at the end of the process are significantly higher than with an open tender. Another advantage for transport service providers with their own eFrexx profile is their increased visibility. The platform evaluates the profiles based on various criteria and automatically presents shippers with those service providers that best match their claims and requirements.
