DHL Express Launches Pilot Project with Hydrogen Truck
23. November 2021The LogCoop Transport Network GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its Forklift Network (MNSN) comprehensively to five more European countries. Due to numerous new customers and a significant increase in transport volumes, especially for large and bulky goods, the total volume doubled in the first half of 2021.
(Düsseldorf) A growth of more than 100 percent is also forecasted for 2022. This is to be achieved, alongside some major customers, through the implementation of an online booking platform for small shippers and the onboarding of foreign customers. Currently, the delivery areas of Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux countries are being integrated into the Forklift Network.
“Our goal with our B2C Forklift Network is market leadership. Based on our enormous growth in recent months, we have decided to offer our services comprehensively in several neighboring German countries in the future,” says Marc Possekel, founder and managing director of LogCoop Transport Networks GmbH & Co. KG. Thus, the network will now also deliver bulky goods to Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux countries. In the first half of 2021 alone, the transport volume doubled. Furthermore, the network gained three new partners as part of the area consolidation.
Thanks to the hub-and-spoke system with a central hub and more than 15 locations in Germany, the network ensures year-round delivery times of under ten days. “With the consistent availability of cargo space, we can exclude seasonal fluctuations with our Forklift Network,” assures Possekel. At the central hub in Amt Wachsenburg, around 800 shipments weighing up to two tons and up to seven meters in length are handled weekly on an area of 4,500 square meters. Each week, 65 full truckloads leave the premises. The first direct transports between major customers and rollout partners, as well as directly between partners, have now been successfully established. An automated end-customer notification system, similar to that known from the KEP sector, has also been introduced.

Increase in Transport Volume by at Least 100 Percent
In the coming months, LogCoop expects another increase in transport volume of at least 100 percent through the exploration of additional assortments and new strategic partnerships. Currently, the focus of the MNSN is on gardening and construction. As part of the planned expansion, a comprehensive delivery scanning system is also to be introduced to ensure seamless documentation. Furthermore, the logistics cooperation plans to establish significantly more direct transports between partners and from shippers to delivery partners. The MNSN will also offer the services of other LogCoop members in the areas of general cargo, procurement, and warehousing logistics to customers.
On the Right Track
An online booking platform for small shippers or sporadic shipments is also planned. “With our network, our customers receive a one-stop solution. The success of the past months shows us that we are on the right track. Due to the increasing volume, more partners will need to be onboarded in 2022 to maintain a very high level of service,” Possekel is pleased to announce. “Consolidations” are planned in the German postal code areas 2 and 8, in parts of 5, as well as in Austria.
