Raben Strengthens Position in the European and German Market
25. November 2021“Welcome to our circle,” said the welcoming words of the chairman of the expert jury LogiMAT “BEST PRODUCT” Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner from the Technical University of Munich to the new jury member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Robert Schulz from the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics (IFT) at the University of Stuttgart. “I am very pleased about his future involvement in the jury.”
(Munich/Stuttgart) Prof. Schulz studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart and also earned his doctorate there before working at DÜRR AG and later at AUDI AG. After 17 years in the private sector, he returned to his alma mater in 2019 and took over the management of the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics at the University of Stuttgart. Michael Ruchty, exhibition director of LogiMAT Stuttgart, is pleased about the expansion of expertise in the jury: “I greatly appreciate that Prof. Schulz immediately agreed to take on this task, continuing the legacy of his predecessor, Prof. Karl-Heinz Wehking.”
Prof. Schulz already completed his initiation in his new role during this year’s “LogiMAT.digital Summer Summit,” where he delivered the laudation for this year’s three award winners of “BEST PRODUCT 2021” on behalf of Prof. Fottner.
Together with his six jury colleagues from research, industry, and journalism, Prof. Schulz will decide on the winners of the “Best Product” award starting from the upcoming LogiMAT, which will take place in March 2022 in Stuttgart.
About “BEST PRODUCT”
The “BEST PRODUCT” award was initiated 19 years ago by the organizer of LogiMAT to honor the outstanding achievements of exhibitors, many of whom come from medium-sized companies. Since then, innovative products that significantly contribute to streamlining, cost savings, and increasing productivity in intralogistics have been awarded. The “BEST PRODUCT” award is presented in three categories:
∙ Software, Communication, IT
∙ Picking, Conveying, Lifting, Storage Technology
∙ Identification, Packaging and Loading Technology, Load Securing
The winners are selected by an independent jury that critically evaluates the submitted applications based on the mentioned criteria prior to the trade fair. The jury members include representatives from science and media. The award has now established itself as one of the most coveted awards in the intralogistics industry. The winners of the competition are honored with a certificate and a medal.
The expert jury for the “BEST PRODUCT” award consists of:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner, Chair of Material Handling, Material Flow Logistics, Technical University of Munich (Chair)
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rolf Jansen, Institute for Distribution and Trade Logistics (IDH) of VVL e.V.
Jan Kaulfuhs-Berger, Trade Magazine for Lifting Equipment and Technical Logistics
