With UTA SmartConnect®, the mobility service provider has developed a telematics solution that significantly simplifies fleet management. The new tool is linked to the UTA One® toll box, so the advantages of telematics and toll services are combined in one device.

With UTA SmartConnect®, freight forwarders and transport companies are always connected with their fleet – across Europe. Using GPS tracking, the position and route of each vehicle can be quickly and easily determined, and it can be accurately predicted how long it will take to reach the customer. Thanks to real-time tracking, dispatchers can maintain an overview of the timely availability of goods to manage complex supply chains. This increases safety in production and enhances customer satisfaction.
At the push of a button, detailed reports are available. The system records all driving activities, such as the route taken and fuel consumption. With automatic notifications, the efficient refueling of vehicles can be managed. UTA SmartConnect® always shows the nearest gas station where drivers can refuel at UTA conditions at a low cost. To do this, UTA acceptance points must simply be loaded into the navigation device or the UTA SmartConnect® software.
Planning and Administrative Effort is Significantly Reduced
The planning and administrative effort is thus significantly reduced, and drivers and fleet managers save valuable time. Additionally, the telematics system alerts drivers early about traffic disruptions, allowing alternative routes to be offered and the goods recipient to be informed promptly about deviations from the plan.
The telematics service UTA SmartConnect® is activated via the interoperable toll solution UTA One®. Existing UTA customers can book the service in the exclusive area on the UTA website. New customers need a UTA One® toll box to use the service.
