B-LOG Integrates Transport Management System from Maxflex
8. December 2021To meet the growing demand for warehouse capacities and increasingly sophisticated service offerings, MP Logistik Rheine in Emsbüren is investing in a new branch. The new building will be realized in a very short time, just like the implementation of pL-Store®, the Warehouse Management System (WMS) from proLogistik.
(Dortmund/Emsbüren) As a 3PL provider, MP Logistik specializes in services related to warehousing, particularly in the heavy and oversized cargo sector, express logistics, partial and full loads, as well as sea and air freight, offering full services from a single source. Integrated into a strong partner network, MP Logistik connects its clients’ goods quickly and reliably with the rest of the world around the clock. The continuously increasing order volume prompted the decision to expand the existing warehouse capacities. This is currently being realized with high pressure in Emsbüren, Lower Saxony, on an area of approximately 12,000 m². Initially, a block storage and a high-bay warehouse are planned for storage. At the same time, sections for handling, picking, and packaging are being created.
The implementation is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. Against this background, swift action was also required in selecting the WMS implementation partner. This partner needed to offer a warehouse management software that is perfectly suited to the specific requirements of a logistics service provider while also providing the necessary flexibility and manpower for a swift realization.
Optimizing Clients’ Core Business
“The pL-Store® WMS convinced us just as much as the extensive expertise of the proLogistik team,” says the head of the warehouse division, Andre Daub. “Our task is to optimize our clients’ core business in times of increasingly global trade. With a powerful warehouse management system, we will continue to meet the associated challenges in the future.”
