Cargo Trans Logistik Drives Digitalization Forward with Pamyra
13. December 2021The Kombiverkehr KG offers rail transport with profile P400 on the routes between Mortara via Lötschberg and the Greenport terminal in Venlo, as well as between Mortara via Gotthard and Rotterdam CTT, with the first train departure today following the timetable change.
(Frankfurt/Main) “With the route adjustment to profile P400, we now enable freight forwarders to transport semi-trailers with a corner height of four meters,” says Alexander Ochs, Managing Director of Kombiverkehr. “Thanks to the higher loading capacity, our customers’ efficiency for their intermodal shipments on these routes noticeably increases.” The direct train Mortara – Venlo v.v. operates three times a week on shipping days Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in both directions. Currently, there is the possibility for transport to and from Rotterdam five times a week from Monday to Friday on the environmentally friendly rail.
Additional Departures to and from Ghent
The frequency of the heavily used train route to the North Sea port of Ghent is being expanded. After an initial frequency increase on January 17, the eighth train departure per week and direction will be added to the timetable shortly thereafter on February 7, 2022. “We are responding to the increasing demand on our connections from Italy through Switzerland to the Benelux countries with even more diverse shipping options on this transalpine corridor,” says Ochs. “The further ferry connections from Ghent make this multimodal offer particularly interesting for freight forwarders with transport business with the United Kingdom after Brexit.”
