EUROGATE Intermodal GmbH (EGIM), provider of combined transport by rail and road based in Hamburg, has renamed its Hungarian railway subsidiary Floyd Zrt. to EUROGATE Rail Hungary Zrt. effective immediately. The renaming aims to create more transparency in the market.
(Hamburg/Budapest) With the renaming of Floyd to EUROGATE Rail Hungary, EGIM aims to strengthen its brand presence with a unified presentation of its services. For customers and partners, the new company name of the Hungarian railway company does not mean any changes to products or personnel.
EGIM Managing Director Christopher Beplat explains: “By renaming Floyd to EUROGATE Rail Hungary, we create more transparency in the market and solidify our portfolio of international intermodal products. This underscores our consistent commitment to simplifying cross-border connectivity by rail.”
Connections with Austria and Germany
EUROGATE Rail Hungary, based in Budapest, offers connections in rail freight transport between Hungary, Austria, and Germany. EGIM has been the majority owner of the company since 2008 and currently holds a 64% stake. The remaining 36% of EUROGATE Rail Hungary is owned by I.C.E. Holding Kft., headquartered in Budapest.
