Kardex Mlog Revamps Logistics for Salt Works in Bad Reichenhall
15. January 2022NIMMSTA and INDUTRAX announce their partnership. The two companies aim to jointly address various use cases for manufacturing and logistics and further digitize business processes. NIMMSTA combines smart and robust hardware with innovative software for efficient workflows in intralogistics. INDUTRAX creates innovative software applications for logistics and production.
(Munich/Hilden) The Munich-based company NIMMSTA is the manufacturer of the world’s first Industrial Smart Watch HS 50 with touch display. In combination with the location-aware software from INDUTRAX, intralogistics and order picking processes can be handled digitally, quickly, and efficiently. INDUTRAX connects innovative software applications for capturing real-time data from the environment and devices on the shop floor with the production and logistics control systems of its customers.
The technology of NIMMSTA, the HS 50, enables workers to interact directly from their wrist, transforming all existing processes into freehand workflows. Due to the customizable touch display, the entire process can be executed with the HS 50: scanning, picking, reading information, and entering corrections and confirmations are controlled via the Industrial Smart Watch.
“Through the partnership with INDUTRAX, we are laying the foundation for Logistics 4.0 together. All information from the location-aware software is displayed on our touch display, allowing workers to interact with it immediately. The combination of INDUTRAX and NIMMSTA is a real powerhouse,” says Andreas Funkenhauser, founder and CEO of NIMMSTA.
Paperless Solutions in the Spirit of Industry 4.0
With the INDUTRAX location-aware software, processes on the shop floor are mapped in real-time to the digital representation of the factory, enabling paperless solutions in the spirit of Industry 4.0. Various functional modules are available for the simple and agile implementation of applications for the digitization of processes and workflows. For example, using geographical information, pick-to-light eLabels, and the NIMMSTA HS 50 with industrial tablets, paperless and fully digital order picking processes can be implemented.
On the display of the NIMMSTA HS 50, during the processing of an order picking task, the storage locations of materials can be displayed, the removal of materials can be confirmed by scanning and visually checked, or the storage locations can be shown.
“The combination of the NIMMSTA Industrial Smart Watch with our location-aware software opens up exciting application possibilities for manufacturing and logistics. We see it as a novel and interactive digital process support for various workflows on the shop floor, such as order picking,” says Nicolai Karl, product manager at INDUTRAX.
