NIMMSTA and INDUTRAX Power the Order Picking
15. January 2022When transporting and storing goods such as pharmaceuticals or food, maintaining a specified, consistent temperature is essential. The new data logger MSR86 helps with this: it measures and documents temperature profiles in a tamper-proof manner. The recordings are encrypted and password-protected.
(Pressebox; Seuzach) The Swiss measurement technology company MSR Electronics GmbH expands its series of cost-effective “MSR BudgetLine” data loggers with the MSR86 model. The compact reusable data logger is equipped with an external temperature sensor (-100…+150 °C), which can be easily attached to products of all kinds to continuously monitor their current temperature. The MSR86 has been specifically developed for monitoring extremely low temperatures, as required during the transport and storage of perishable products such as pharmaceuticals, enzymes, tissues, organs, vaccines, biological products, samples, clinical materials, and many other sensitive products, especially when dry ice is used. It can also be used to monitor temperature conditions in ovens, autoclaves, or sterilizers. The multifunctional LCD display shows the current measurement value, minimum, maximum, and average values, the status of the logger, the alarm, and the battery level.
The MSR86 is tamper-proof and features encrypted, password-protected recordings to comply with the guidelines of 21 CFR Part 11. The accuracy of the logger is documented by a traceable calibration certificate, which is available in its internal memory. The MSR86 is compliant with DIN12830 and 21 CFR Part 11 and meets EU regulations for the storage and transport of chilled and frozen foods, as well as those of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
PDF report of the recorded measurement values
Using the USB interface, the recorded measurement data can be quickly transferred to a PC. After stopping the data logger, a PDF report of the recorded measurement values can be generated, which can be saved or filed for documentation purposes. The report includes a graphical view of the temperature profile, a table of measurement values, and a statistical view displaying minimum, maximum, average, MKT values, etc.
