(Wien/Paris) The Alcyon Group is a leading distribution company for veterinary products with a product catalog of over 20,000 items. The company delivers essential veterinary products (medications, equipment, and animal feed) daily to veterinarians across France, Belgium, and Italy. Thousands of packages are shipped every day. To handle shipments more efficiently, Alcyon opted for the digitization of the delivery process with the software solution ZetesChronos.

The delivery process of the Alcyon Group is associated with complex challenges. One example is the transport of sensitive products such as vaccines, which need to be kept cool. On the way to the customer, multiple levels often need to be considered (distribution center, regional platform, branches, etc.). Additionally, deliveries must be traceable through various carriers with sometimes very different transport management systems. The choice fell on ZetesChronos because it addresses exactly these challenges.

The ZetesChronos software is supported by robust, intelligent hardware. This combination ensures seamless traceability of the transport containers. Alcyon equips its drivers with around 150 mobile devices that enable real-time communication with the headquarters. Through this systematic uploading of data to a central platform, Alcyon can conduct stricter monitoring and detailed analyses of the data by carrier type and geographical area in the future.
