Austrian Post transports around 500 million packages in 2021
19. January 2022The eFrexx GmbH has integrated a new feature into its namesake tender platform. With the ‘Provider Search’, registered shippers can now find suitable transport partners even more easily and effectively. Various filter options and parameter settings allow for precise definitions of transport routes, types, and methods.
(Ratingen) The result list contains only qualified providers who have an eFrexx premium profile. These can then be immediately invited by the shipper into ‘their’ closed community. With the new feature, the logistics startup once again increases the efficiency of transport allocation – both for shippers and for the transport service providers suggested by eFrexx, thus saving sales costs. The new function is free for shippers and available worldwide.
“We are continuously developing our digital tender platform. With the new feature, shippers can now quickly and conveniently find suitable providers for cross-border, international transports,” says eFrexx founder and CEO Achim Quaken. This was often previously associated with significant effort. Additionally, quality was not always guaranteed. This risk does not exist on eFrexx, as providers only gain access to the platform by invitation from a (satisfied) shipper. With the software-as-a-service solution, spot and contract tenders for transport via road, rail, sea, and air can be processed digitally.
The newly introduced function is now available worldwide. With a click, the search form is called up, where both the transport route and the type of tender – spot or contracting – can be selected initially. Based on this, further fields are displayed, allowing for further specification of the transport. For example, industry segments, hazardous goods classes, temperature requirements, and specific country-related freight routes can be set.
Search Results in Tabular Form
Based on this selection, an automatic matching with the stored provider profiles takes place. As a result, the relevant shipper is then suggested those service providers that best match their demands and requirements. The search results are displayed in tabular form. “Shippers do not have to search for long. They filter the eFrexx datasets according to extensive criteria, receive immediate results, and can invite the carrier. It couldn’t be easier,” says Quaken.
Effort Reduction in Tenders
By clicking on the respective provider profile, the user then receives detailed information, which also includes a direct contact person for the selected transport. “This significantly reduces the effort per tender and results in a substantial gain in efficiency. This is true for both shippers and for freight forwarders and carriers,” says Quaken.
Recently, registered freight forwarders and transport service providers can create detailed profiles on eFrexx, significantly increasing their visibility. This, in turn, increases the chances of new orders.
