(Frenkendorf/Wolfurt) In Frenkendorf, customers have access to high-frequency and flexible connections for maritime loading units to the two largest North Sea ports of Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium), to the southern ports of Genoa and La Spezia (both in Italy), as well as to Neuss (Germany). From Wolfurt, there is a connection via the network of the partner ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) to the German ports of Bremerhaven and Hamburg, as well as to the Adriatic ports of Koper (Slovenia) and Trieste (Italy).
Continuously Expanding Offerings
Roman Mayer, CEO of Swissterminal, explains: “With the new service, the rail freight terminal in Wolfurt becomes even more attractive for the highly export-oriented economy of Vorarlberg and eastern Switzerland. And with the connection to the Swissterminal Group’s network as well as that of our partner DP World, customers benefit from numerous options for further transport to the north and south of Europe. We are very pleased to continuously expand our offerings of sustainable and efficient connections for maritime cargo transport.”
