8. February 2022The night express service provider Night Star Express has once again increased its shipment numbers in 2021 despite ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Managing Director Matthias Hohmann feels confirmed in both himself and the company’s chosen course. Even in the second year of the pandemic, a significant increase in shipments was recorded.
(Unna) Night Star Express Managing Director Matthias Hohmann on the developments of the past year: “The year 2020 was a test for all companies. Nevertheless, we were able to record increasing shipment volumes in the first year of the pandemic. This positive business development continued in 2021. Through the consistent pursuit of our corporate strategy and the acquisition of numerous new customers, we were able to increase the shipment volume by a remarkable 8.5%.”
Pandemic Measures Take Effect
As in the first year of the pandemic, Night Star Express has focused primarily on the protection of its employees. Extensive measures were taken, especially in the operational area, to maintain operations without significant restrictions.
The division into different teams in the main sorting facility in Hünfeld, which work together in a consistent composition, remote work regulations, and minimizing contacts as much as possible have contributed to Night Star Express successfully maintaining its service without major restrictions over the past two years.
