Rail-Flow Becomes a Digital Service Provider for VTG Rail Logistics
9. February 2022Envirotainer, the global market leader in secure cold chain solutions for the air transport of pharmaceuticals, and Swiss WorldCargo, the leading airline for time-sensitive and care-intensive pharmaceutical logistics, today announced their continued collaboration on the introduction of the Envirotainer Releye® RAP.
(Zurich/Sollentuna) Swiss WorldCargo is one of the first carriers to soon introduce the Releye® RAP container into its operations and add it to its portfolio. This complements our close collaboration and targets the previous generation of Envirotainer containers. Furthermore, both organizations focus on contributing to their sustainability efforts and creating various initiatives to provide their customers with a more sustainable operation and greater transparency.
The Releye® RAP sets a new standard for temperature-controlled 5-pallet solutions. As the largest Releye® container of the new generation, the RAP is the only one of its kind in the world that combines large capacity with superior features.
Designed to meet the strictest requirements in pharmaceutical air freight, the integrated live monitoring provides unique insights into the product condition, location, and progress of the shipment.
With its enhanced efficiency and capacity, it achieves outstanding CO2 reductions per shipment and is the future solution for secure cold chain shipments. Everything is monitored and maintained with the new Service Control Tower.
Advanced Temperature-Controlled Air Freight Container
The Releye® RAP is the second in a family of advanced temperature-controlled air freight containers. It complements the 3-pallet Releye® RLP introduced in 2021. The foundation of the Releye® platform is built on five pillars: Control, Monitoring, Autonomy, Value, and Sustainability.
“As we launch our latest member of the Releye® family, the RAP, we are also very pleased to announce today that SWISS will be one of the first airlines to soon complete the approval of the Releye® RAP. We have always greatly valued our close collaboration with SWISS, especially since SWISS, as a premium carrier operating in the heart of the European pharmaceutical region, is known for its expertise in pharmaceutical transport,” says Peter Gisel-Ekdahl, CEO of Envirotainer.
Latest Technology and Outstanding CO2 Reduction
“We greatly appreciate our close partnership with Envirotainer and are proud to be at the forefront of operating the new Envirotainer Releye® RAP soon and incorporating it into our portfolio of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical solutions,” said Lorenzo Stoll, Head of Cargo at Swiss International Air Lines. “The Releye® RAP sets a new standard for temperature-controlled 5-pallet solutions, combining the latest technology and achieving outstanding CO2 reductions per shipment. This fully aligns with our own focus on sustainable offerings and the continuous reduction of our CO2 footprint.”
