10. February 2022The commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck, operating as an independent entity on the stock market since early 2022, is setting up a demonstration charging park at its production facility in Wörth am Rhein. Here, customers can test charging options from various manufacturers on-site in a technology-neutral manner and make informed decisions.
(Stuttgart/ Wörth am Rhein) Daimler Truck is pursuing the establishment of a comprehensive ecosystem, including extensive consulting services and suitable charging infrastructure, to ensure the best possible entry for its truck customers into e-mobility. Together with Netze BW Services as the builder, Daimler Truck is constructing a demonstration charging park for electric trucks at the Wörth am Rhein site, in close proximity to its Industry Information Center (BIC). This allows truck customers to experience charging stations and charging concepts from various manufacturers in real operation and work with experts on-site to develop a charging solution tailored to their specific application case.
Initially with five charging stations
The demonstration charging park is set to be equipped with five charging stations at first. Additionally, the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the charging park, along with a stationary storage unit, is planned to further support the power supply of the charging stations. The commissioning of the demonstration charging park is scheduled for the summer of this year.
