LIP Invest Acquires Logistics Property in Bramsche from DLH
11. February 2022El Paso is the new U.S. location of the international transport and logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss. The border town located in the state of Texas is set to become a hub for full truckload traffic between Mexico and the USA. This move responds to the growing flow of goods between the two countries and the resulting high demand for transport capacities.
(Lauterach/El Paso) “Mexico is increasingly gaining importance as a production location for the U.S. automotive, steel, and textile industries. With our new location in El Paso, we are now offering our customers cross-border delivery services focusing on full loads,” explains Mark McCullough, Country Manager of Gebrüder Weiss USA.
El Paso, with around 700,000 residents, is the sixth-largest city in Texas and a significant border crossing point for goods traffic between Mexico and the United States. The largest industrial sectors include textiles, automotive, biomedicine, and electronics. The city is conveniently located as it lies directly on Interstate 10, which runs from the West Coast to the East Coast of the USA. From El Paso International Airport, some of the largest hubs in the United States can be reached in a short flight time – including Chicago, the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, and Los Angeles.
Here in El Paso (Texas), Gebrüder Weiss primarily aims to offer freight traffic to and from Mexico
