2022 is a very special year for Wanko Informationslogistik GmbH. Exactly 50 years ago, the company was founded under the name “Heinrich Wanko Unternehmungsplanung KG”. What once started with index cards has now evolved into a provider of state-of-the-art software for logistics from Ainring, Bavaria.
(Ainring) Even before the invention of the PC, Wanko was already in operation, planning routes on drawing boards, organizing goods movements in warehouses with index cards, and advising customers on organizing their logistical processes.
Today, after 50 years, Wanko offers customers a comprehensive software suite that allows for the planning, management, and monitoring of the entire supply chain execution. The mission remains focused on the sustainable optimization of logistics processes. Whether for large corporations or medium-sized businesses, for food retail, furniture manufacturers, steel traders, or gas producers, Wanko’s intergenerational know-how understands the challenges of its customers and is capable of not only delivering suitable software but also successfully implementing it, operating it over the years, and keeping it up to date.
About 100 Employees and Activities in 37 Countries
A team of nearly 100 young and experienced employees helps implement proven processes and new ideas in successful digitalization projects. A total of 1000 years of professional experience and 3 million lines of code assist 30,000 drivers and warehouse workers in 37 countries to perform their work efficiently and resource-conservingly.
However, resting on success is not an option. Wanko is already working on new methods and applications that will help customers maintain and expand their market position in the future.
