Trailer Manufacturer Kögel Strengthens Its Sales in Austria
20. February 2022AutoStore, a leading company in automated warehousing, has launched the Bin Lift 2.0. This robust vertical lift ensures the accessibility of AutoStore bins in multi-story warehouses, enabling a flexible warehouse layout and lower real estate costs. Compared to the previous Bin Lift 1.1, version 2.0 offers significant mechanical improvements.
(Mönchengladbach) The Bin Lift 2.0 allows for flexible positioning of AutoStore systems and/or workstations on multiple levels within a warehouse building. Thanks to improved components, operational noise has been further reduced, and reliability and lifespan have been increased. “By utilizing space flexibly in the warehouse while simultaneously enhancing the accessibility of the bins, customers require less square footage, ultimately lowering costs,” comments Carlos Fernández, Chief Product Officer at AutoStore.
The newly designed Bin Lift offers optimized performance through improved rollers, rails, motors, and electronics, and is easier to assemble than its predecessor. Additionally, the new model can be used in two configurations: as Grid-to-Port in combination with AutoStore’s SwingPort, the Bin Lift serves as an extension of the AutoStore Grid and allows for picking on a floor below the storage area. In the Grid-to-Grid configuration, the Bin Lift 2.0 creates a seamless connection between two independent AutoStore grids, enabling customers with multi-story warehouses to optimize processes in existing facilities with the new accessibility of bins.
Positive Work Environment Enhances Well-Being
Carlos Fernández adds: “A positive work environment enhances well-being and productivity, and we carefully consider this in the development of new innovations. In the Grid-to-Port configuration, the Bin Lift 2.0 significantly reduces the noise level for the operator at the port. The new motor, new gearbox, and new placement mean that the noise intensity is reduced tenfold from 70 dBA to 60 dBA.”
The Bin Lift 2.0, as an improved successor, offers the fast and reliable functions that AutoStore systems are known for, allowing customers to benefit from the full flexibility and scalability of the system.
