22. February 2022The GDP network solutions GmbH has been providing all services in compliance with GDP since its launch in July 2020. The company has now received the GDP certificate for all locations. This underscores the network’s commitment to quality and product safety in temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transport.
(Biebesheim) From the beginning, the nationwide service provider for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector has operated in all areas according to the standards of Good Distribution Practice regulations. The managing director of GDP network solutions, Jürgen Oetzel, sees the confirmation through the certificates as “a logical milestone in documenting compliance with the high requirements according to legal regulations. This gives our customers the security that is essential when handling pharmaceuticals and medical products.”
The certification was based on the EU regulations published in 2013 regarding the Guidelines for Good Distribution Practice (GDP). These EU regulations essentially govern the adherence to quality criteria throughout the entire supply chain and the protection against the infiltration of illegal pharmaceuticals into legal distribution channels. As part of the certification, auditors examine and evaluate a number of indicators such as quality control, self-inspections, and employee training. The awarded quality seal confirms compliance with all safety and quality standards. “With the certificate and our quality promise to our customers, we reach a new level that identifies us as a reliable partner in the supply chain,” emphasizes managing director Oetzel.
All locations meet the requirements
The implemented quality management system (QMS) is successfully realized across all 12 locations in the network. Dr. Stefan Lakonig from Heacon Service GmbH, the certifying company, comments: “A cornerstone of pharmaceutical supply is thus on solid ground.” The GMP/GDP expert from Heacon further explains: “GDP has come strongly into focus for the pharmaceutical industry in recent years. As a logistics provider, one faces numerous challenges. During audits at all locations, we were able to convince ourselves of the compliance of GDP network solutions GmbH. The systems and processes meet the requirements for GDP transports.” For GDP network solutions, obtaining the quality seal is a milestone in the company’s still young history, and all parties see it as an incentive for the further development of high-quality services in pharmaceutical logistics.
