Logivest Opens Location in the Logistics Region of Magdeburg

Logivest GmbH strengthens its market competence in Magdeburg with its own location. This positions the consulting company, specialized in logistics properties and locations, in the rapidly growing logistics region and now maintains eleven locations across Germany.

(Munich/Magdeburg) After the Logivest Group significantly expanded its consulting services last year and established its own project management GmbH, the company is once again focusing on expansion in individual regions this year. Magdeburg has developed into a booming logistics hotspot in recent years. With around 330,000 square meters of new construction volume, the region catapulted to the top in 2021, ranking third in the list of the 24 top logistics regions in the annually published logistics property seismograph by Logivest.

On the one hand, the logistics region of Magdeburg benefits from its central location, proximity to urban centers, and diverse connections via water, road, and rail. On the other hand, the good availability of spaces, some of which are even subsidized, as well as the dynamics of the rapidly growing industries have contributed to the rapid upswing.

“The fact that Logivest is now opening its own branch in Magdeburg is a logical step, as the region is a logistics location with great potential due to its location and trimodality,” says Michael Starre, CSO at Logivest GmbH.

One of the Busiest Inland Ports in Germany

Not least, the Magdeburg port, one of the busiest inland ports in Germany, also convinced CATL, the largest Chinese manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries. At the beginning of the year, Logivest was able to convince the battery manufacturer of Magdeburg based on a thorough location analysis and brokered around 90,000 square meters of logistics space in VGP Park Magdeburg.

The new spaces in Katharinenturm, Breiter Weg 31, in Magdeburg have already been occupied by the Logivest team. Initially, two consultants from the region will be at the new location. An expansion of capacities is planned for later this year.
