Austrian Post and Partners Introduce “Green Packaging”
7. March 20222022 will be an exciting year: With Italy, the team at driveMybox gains its first international cooperation partner! The Italian trucking business is now set to be sustainably revolutionized and made more profitable for clients and service providers alike. Manual processes will be minimized, automation promoted, and Italian freight companies will be supported on their path to digitalization.
(Hamburg) driveMybox is on a growth trajectory and is now officially looking forward to its first international cooperation in Europe with Italy. Every year, more than 6 million containers are transported by truck to and from Italian gateway ports. This places Italy third in terms of truck transport on European roads to Poland and Germany, thus offering great potential for the logistics platform. These figures, along with the high demand for digital solutions in the Italian logistics sector, make the Italian market very interesting for the strategic growth of driveMybox.
“We are very proud and happy to introduce driveMybox in Italy after the success achieved in Germany in the first years. I am confident that the digital solution will also find great resonance in the Italian market,” says Matthieu Gasselin, CEO of driveMybox Italy.
Digitalization in the transport sector has also been largely a foreign concept in the Italian market. In the processes of container transport, paper is still predominantly used, and there are hardly any fixed digital standards. This is exactly where driveMybox comes in: by utilizing the platform and the resulting digitalization of the entire transport process, the Italian logistics chain will now also be revolutionized.
One-Stop Solution
The intuitive and user-friendly digital platform was launched in Germany in 2020 and has since offered an all-in-one solution for container transport, directly connecting customers and service providers. There is no simpler way for a container to get from A to B than with the online platform. The entire transport process, from price inquiry to dispatch to invoicing, is digitized, and in just a few clicks, any company wishing to transport a container by truck can book a transport through the platform. Registered drivers on the other side receive optimized transport orders via push notification directly on their smartphones, allowing them to flexibly and independently accept or decline trips. This ensures more flexibility and transparency in container trucking – and all at no cost.
Facilitating Information Exchange
The platform maximizes truck capacity and provides an accurate overview of transports through real-time data provision. It also minimizes manual processes and facilitates the exchange of information and documents, making communication between clients and service providers smoother and problem-solving faster.
Initial Focus on Lombardy
driveMybox is now looking forward to the first test drives on Italian roads. The platform will offer transport solutions throughout the country, but in the initial months, the startup will primarily focus on connections from the Lombardy region, one of the most dynamic and industrialized regions in Italy, to the main gateway ports in Northern Italy.
