13. March 2022At the beginning of the fighting in Ukraine, the transport platform Trans.eu initially observed a decline in transports to Ukraine of over 90 percent. Conversely, trips from Ukraine to EU countries, including Germany, also decreased by 75%.
(Berlin) To quickly and significantly assist its neighbors in Ukraine, Trans.eu has established its own aid team that monitors the current situation and coordinates actions. The Poland-based operator of a logistics platform for land transport is immediately implementing the following measures:
1) To maintain the supply for the Ukrainian population, Trans.eu is organizing a transport bridge between Ukraine and the rest of Europe. For this purpose, the company is collaborating with established organizations that provide humanitarian aid. Through a Polish-language website, the platform operator connects these organizations with transport companies willing to make trips to Ukraine and also guarantees the transport costs to them. By Monday afternoon, more than 220 carriers had already registered for the initiative, providing vehicle capacities for aid transports.
2) Users from Ukraine will not pay subscription fees for the Trans.eu platform until further notice.
3) All subscriptions from Russian customers are suspended until further notice.
4) Trans.eu is donating a sum of 2 million Polish Zloty (approximately 430,000 €) to aid actions for the citizens of Ukraine.
5) The company is providing accommodation in Poland for 100 refugees from Ukraine and supplying them with all essential daily items. Furthermore, Trans.eu will also offer long-term financial support and consider establishing kindergartens. Initially, this applies to the employees of the Ukrainian branch of the platform operator and their families. As the crisis progresses, the initiative will be expanded to include more individuals as needed.
In addition to these measures, Trans.eu will continue to expand its aid efforts. The company’s crisis team is collecting and evaluating further opportunities to assist friends from Ukraine.
About Trans.eu
The digital platform for land transport is based on a carrier database that has been established for over 15 years, particularly in the Central and Eastern European market. All companies listed in it have been verified by Trans.eu and activated after validation. To enable secure collaboration between carriers and their clients, the platform features simple functions for digital order management. This includes workflows for order assignment as well as mutual evaluations of the contracting parties after the completion of a transport. In an integrated online messenger, all communication regarding freight assignments on the platform occurs in 16 different languages. It is automatically digitally documented and archived. This creates additional security in the cooperation between carriers and their clients through simple automated processes.
