Fines Are the Wrong Approach to the EU Supply Chain Act
Mar 21, 2022 at 4:54 PMThe transport logistic Americas and the air cargo forum Miami are gaining momentum. Miami will become the international hub for knowledge and contacts from November 8 to 10, 2022. Shippers, logistics service providers, and logistics-oriented service providers from around the world are currently booking exhibition space. The strong interest confirms the multimodal concept of Messe München in combination with the air cargo forum of TIACA and Florida as a future-proof logistics location.
(Munich/Miami) The previously planned 9,000 m² of exhibition space are slowly running out of premium spots. The hall areas are quickly filling up with companies from around the world. With 70 early bookers and lively booking behavior, Messe München, together with its cooperation partner The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), expects more than 200 exhibitors. For three days, the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida (USA) will become the Supply Chain Forum, representing intercontinental logistics chains across modes of transport.
Exhibitors of rank and name
The established air cargo forum has already attracted international airlines such as Astral Aviation, Air Canada, Avianca, Etihad, LATAM Cargo, and United Airlines, as well as airports from Brussels, Budapest, Chicago, Greenville-Spartenburg, Halifax, Liege, Miami, St. Louis, and Winnipeg. Many air freight-specific service providers, including ACL airshop, Champ Cargosystems, dnata, ECS Group, Jettainer, Kale Logistics Solutions, paycargo, Strike Aviation, and World Flight Group, have booked exhibition space. For the transport logistic Americas, international logistics service providers such as Rhenus Logistics have registered. Additionally, the exhibitor list is filling up with an above-average number of local providers. The trade fair offering covers all services on land, at sea, and in the air. There are also providers for equipment and software services. For the first time, a pavilion will showcase startups from the region with digital innovations for the supply chain.
Miami surpasses the thousand mark
According to the Beacon Council, over 1,000 multinational companies are located in the Miami metropolitan area. The trend is rising. Likewise, the number of service providers in logistics, transport, and supply chain around Miami is increasing. “Florida is becoming a strategic hub for international logistics chains. The development of the region is clearly reflected in our booking numbers. As a unique offering in North America, our still young trade fair has great potential. For logistics managers from North and South America, it can be a significant hub for knowledge and contacts,” says Dr. Robert Schönberger, Head of transport logistic exhibitions at Messe München.
Unique in North America
The transport logistic Americas, like the leading global trade fair in Munich, relies on a high-profile conference program. In combination with the proven air cargo forum, over 90 international speakers, primarily from the USA, North and South America, will present their topics to an expected audience of more than 5,500 participants. “Intercontinental logistics chains are more than air freight. Therefore, we are pleased to be part of a unique trade fair concept that brings together all stakeholders of the supply chain across modes of transport,” comments Steve Polmans, TIACA Chairman.
