7. April 2022In autumn 2021, the DEKRA Future Congress Commercial Vehicles had to be canceled due to the pandemic. A new edition is now planned for June 2 and 3, 2022. Since 2015, the event has established itself as the central platform for exchange within the transport and logistics industry with its three editions. A physical event in Berlin is again planned.
(Stuttgart/Berlin) The DEKRA Future Congress Commercial Vehicles stands for high-profile experts from the vehicle and supplier industry, politics, and science. The program is titled “Future-proof transportation” and is divided into three partially parallel thematic strands: Commercial Vehicle Technology, Digitalization, and Last Mile.
Overall, the organizers expect more than 350 experts, scientists, and top managers from renowned companies in the commercial vehicle industry – including many from internationally oriented companies such as Chereau SAS, Continental, Dachser, DAF, Daimler Truck, Fleetboard Logistics, Goodyear Dunlop Tires, IKEA, Knorr-Bremse, Kögel, Krone, MAN, Quantron, Rhenus, Scania, Schmitz Cargobull, Shell, and ZF Friedrichshafen.

Also on board: speakers and discussants from politics, associations, and European organizations. So far, confirmed participants include Oliver Luksic (Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport), Prof. Dr. Walter Eichendorf (President of the German Road Safety Council, DVR), Andreas Rade (Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry, VDA), Frank Huster (Managing Director of DSLV Federal Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics), and Thomas Fabian (Director Commercial Vehicles, ACEA – European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association).
Awarding of the European Safety Prize for Commercial Vehicles
At the Future Congress, the awarding of the European Safety Prize for Commercial Vehicles for 2020 and 2021, which was canceled due to the pandemic, will also be made up for. The prize is awarded annually by DEKRA, DVR, and the European Association for Accident Research and Accident Analysis (EVU) to individuals who have made significant contributions to the safety of commercial vehicles through their professional achievements.
