7. April 2022Schenker Ventures is participating in the start-up Warehousing1, the provider of an e-commerce fulfillment platform based in Berlin. This is the first investment by Schenker Ventures, the holistic venture capital unit of the global logistics service provider DB Schenker. In addition to DB Schenker, other investors are also participating.
(Essen) In addition to Schenker Ventures, other well-known venture capital investors who have made a name for themselves in scaling young e-commerce and logistics tech companies are also participating in the Series A round of Warehousing1.

Active partners are important

Warehousing1 offers retailers an online platform where they can quickly and easily find suitable warehouse spaces and fulfillment services. The four-year-old start-up consolidates the offerings of small and medium-sized logistics companies into a central network. Through this platform, e-commerce companies can digitally manage their fulfillment and scale their logistics as needed. The focus is on young, fast-growing D2C brands.
More than just a financial investment
With the strong industry network of DB Schenker, Schenker Ventures provides the young e-commerce fulfillment company with a significant competitive advantage. In addition to financial support, Warehousing1 also gains access to expertise from specialists in online retail and consumer goods, as well as in warehouse logistics and IT infrastructure.
Among the investors acquiring or expanding their stake in the company are Aster Capital, Wille Finance, HV Capital, and Base10 Partners, in addition to Schenker Ventures. In total, Warehousing1 is being supported with over 10 million euros. The shareholders have agreed not to disclose the respective shareholdings.

Schenker Ventures was established in the summer of 2021. It consolidates all venture activities of DB Schenker and is based on three pillars: venture building, venture studio, and venture capital.
