20. April 2022Güttler Logistik GmbH is constructing a new hall facility at its location in Hof (Saale). A facility covering approximately 2,800 square meters will be created, featuring up to 3,300 shelf spaces. This significantly expands the logistics provider’s area, allowing it to better meet the demands for interim storage and value-added services for customers.
(Hof/Saale) Construction work for the new building of Güttler Logistik GmbH has already begun. Completion and commissioning are planned for November 2022. The company from Hof is investing around four million euros. “With our new warehouse, we are responding to the demand for available logistics space, which has become increasingly important in recent years marked by volatile supply chains,” says Johannes Reuther, Managing Director of Güttler Logistik GmbH. The new building is expected to be completed within seven months. The decision to realize the project on its own property was made deliberately to leverage the synergy effects with the existing buildings and the short distances between the halls. Additionally, customers benefit from the favorable connection to southern Germany and Eastern Europe via the A9, A72, and A93.
Fulfillment of Value-Added Services
The new hall, standing 10.5 meters high, encompasses around 2,800 square meters and offers approximately 3,300 shelf spaces. This allows for optimal utilization of the available land. In addition to interim storage, the fulfillment of value-added services will also be located there. Besides the standard goods receipt inspection, the transport company also conducts quality controls and takes care of order picking before the goods are delivered throughout Germany and Europe as part loads or full loads. The hall can be supplied or disposed of via two new load houses or through an additional seven docking options at the existing hall.
Majority of Electricity to be Self-Produced
The new property will also take environmental protection into account and will self-produce the majority of the electricity required by the entire company. A photovoltaic system with 650 kilowatt-peak (kWp) will be installed on the roof. In the office section, the logistics provider will also create shower and sleeping facilities for the driving personnel. “The well-being of our drivers is particularly important to us. Employees should have the opportunity to rest and wash up with us,” says Reuther.
