Wedig will then reach the maximum age limit for managing directors and board members in the group. This continues the path of transformation of HGK that has been jointly pursued since 2017.
(Köln) The supervisory board of Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln AG (HGK) has decided to extend the contract of CEO Uwe Wedig (62) until September 30, 2025. Upon the expiration of the contract, which was previously dated until January 31, 2023, the chairman of the HGK board will reach the maximum age limit for managing directors and board members in the Stadtwerke Köln group, to which the HGK group belongs.
“Mr. Wedig has significantly advanced the transformation of HGK into an integrated group for sustainable and environmentally friendly transport and logistics services as CEO. Against this background, I am very pleased that we can consistently continue the path we have taken together,” explains Susana dos Santos Herrmann, chairwoman of the supervisory board of HGK AG.
CEO since September 2017
Uwe Wedig has been leading the company since September 2017. He forms the three-member board of HGK AG together with Wolfgang Birlin (CFO) and Jens-Albert Oppel (COO).
