LIP Invest acquires leased logistics property in Bexbach
26. April 2022In spring 2022, the Lithuanian TGW branch celebrated its fifth anniversary – and simultaneously welcomed its fiftieth employee in Kaunas. What started in 2017 with two employees has developed into a powerful competence center with more than 50 highly qualified specialists in control, software, and project engineering within just five years.
(Marchtrenk/Kowno) Lithuania is part of the TGW hub Northern Europe. This includes locations in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Lithuania: More than 500 experts plan and implement highly automated logistics systems and support them in ongoing operations – among others for clients such as Urban Outfitters, stichd, or the eGrocery specialist Picnic.
Control, Software, and Project Engineering
In its first year, TGW Lithuania grew to 25 employees. The focus was initially on the control area – specifically on software development, emulation, and commissioning. Gradually, the competencies were expanded to include project engineering and simulation. “Our order books are well filled, and the outlook for the coming months is excellent,” emphasizes David Hibbett, CEO Northern Europe. “We are even more pleased that we can rely on the expertise of TGW Lithuania.”
Successful Organization Established
“Over the course of five years, we have built a successful organization with well-trained employees,” emphasizes Country Manager Vytautas Janilionis. “TGW Lithuania is ready for new tasks and challenges, and we look forward to the next five years!”
