Electromobility Expert Designwerk Sharpens Its Profile

The Swiss cleantech company Designwerk sharpens its profile as a specialist in the field of electromobility and appears in a refreshed design. The product brands Futuricum, Batteriewerk, and Designwerk will now be united under a single brand, Designwerk. The comprehensive product range offers customers mobility solutions for various applications from a single source.

(Winterthur) Founded in 2008, the story of the electromobility company Designwerk began with the development of electrically powered vehicles as an engineering service provider. More than 100 contract developments have been implemented since then. In recent years, the brands Batteriewerk for storage solutions, MDC with mobile fast chargers, and electric trucks under the Futuricum brand have joined the original think tank and development experts.
Since 2021, the Volvo Group has been supporting the solid growth of the Swiss specialist for electromobility, based in Winterthur, with a 60% stake.

Strengthened by the trust of Volvo, partners, and customers, Designwerk is uniting the strengths and know-how of the individual product brands under the common brand Designwerk. From now on, all products, including E-trucks, chargers, battery systems, and contract developments, will be marketed under the name Designwerk. A new Designwerk brand appearance supports the sharpening of its profile.

Electromobility Solutions from a Single Source

As a market-driving force in electromobility, Designwerk is today a market leader with tailored solutions for individual requirements. “As pioneers, we are driving the transition to electromobility, and with the industrialization of our products, we offer electromobility solutions from a single source. From development, storage, driving to charging,” says Adrian Melliger, the managing director of Designwerk.
