B+S Installs New Location in the Rhine-Main Area

With the acquisition of an existing logistics property in Hammersbach in the northeastern Rhine-Main area, B+S GmbH Logistics and Services is responding to the continuously increasing customer demand for space and logistics services. The approximately 40,000 square meters in the “Limes” industrial area in Hammersbach will provide immediate space for several customers of the logistics service provider.

(Borgholzhausen/Hammersbach) With the new location in Hammersbach, near the currently emerging logistics new building in Alzenau, B+S is expanding its presence in the Rhine-Main area. The company will take over the logistics property by the middle of this year and will operate it as a multi-user location in the future.

Strategic Expansion as an E-Commerce Location

In addition to the existing property, the logistics service provider is also investing in the technical requirements of the modern location. This includes, among other things, a pick tower with around 400,000 picking compartments. “The high-quality equipment of the location is an advantage for us to quickly start operations for our customers,” says B+S Managing Director Stefan Brinkmann. In addition, the infrastructure-friendly location directly on the A45 motorway and the existing equipment are suitable for establishing the Hammersbach location as another central E-Commerce fulfillment hotspot for the logistics service provider.

Community Welcomes New Jobs

The mayor of the municipality of Hammersbach, Michael Göllner, is also pleased about the establishment of B+S in the “Limes” industrial area and the associated creation of new and secure jobs in the region: “I am very pleased that we have managed to find a seamless follow-up rental. It is important for us that a reliable company has been established here, which also considers the needs of the member municipalities and the employees. Step Towards Greater Growth Process

The acquisition of the property in Hammersbach is a step for the logistics service provider in a larger growth process. With three new openings in 2022 in Alzenau, Hammersbach, and Sottrum in northern Germany, B+S surpasses the mark of 500,000 square meters of logistics space throughout Germany. “Especially in times of enormous space shortages in Germany, it is not a given that we can always provide suitable spaces for our growing customers – and that too in close proximity to our other large location in the Rhine-Main area in Alzenau, which allows us maximum personnel flexibility,” says Stefan Brinkmann. “Therefore, we also thank the municipality of Hammersbach as well as the two municipalities of Limeshain and Büdingen for their appreciative cooperation and support for a short-term establishment that benefits not only our customers but also the labor market in Hammersbach and the surrounding area.”
