23. May 2022At this year’s myDHLi Digital Summit, DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, the leading international freight specialist of Deutsche Post DHL Group, presents new features and enhancements for its unique digital customer platform myDHLi. Customers can now further increase the efficiency of their logistics, among other things, through an innovative ETA forecasting feature (Estimated Time of Arrival), which calculates the expected arrival time of sea freight.
(Bonn) To predict the arrival of shipments almost in real-time, Smart ETA utilizes advanced data analytics. Furthermore, the platform supports customers’ sustainability commitments with features for calculating and analyzing their CO2 footprint, as well as insetting and offsetting options for decarbonizing transport. The central Follow + Share functionality now also offers configurable shipment notifications, better meeting individual customer requirements.
GoGreen Dashboard Integrated into myDHLi Analytics
“We are constantly working to improve the platform for our now more than 10,000 customers, making myDHLi more successful than ever. We are proud to present a range of new features today,” said Tim Scharwath, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. “We want to provide our customers with consistently sustainable and transparent transport solutions. Providing comprehensive decarbonization options and CO2 reporting tools in one portal, along with all other services, is an important step in this direction.”
2022 – Year of Sustainability for myDHLi
In myDHLi Quote + Book, DHL has created the opportunity to effectively reduce CO2 emissions from air freight shipments through insetting by using sustainable aviation fuels. This option complements the existing offering of sustainable marine fuels for full container loads (FCL) in sea freight. Since the beginning of last year, DHL has been reducing CO2 emissions for all less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments in sea freight with sustainable marine fuels, and all without additional costs for its customers. With these offerings, DHL supports its customers on their path to more sustainable logistics. On myDHLi, customers can track their emissions down to the shipment level. Specifically, they gain insight into their CO2 footprint and CO2 efficiency. For greater transparency, shipments that are already CO2-neutral will be labeled with a GoGreen label in the future. The GoGreen program is part of DHL’s sustainability strategy.
The reports in myDHLi Reports are fully customizable. In addition to the actual shipment information, customers also receive comprehensive information for tracking CO2 emissions, which can be seamlessly used for more detailed analyses. Furthermore, DHL Global Forwarding has integrated a GoGreen Dashboard into myDHLi Analytics. It provides customers with the ability to analyze their CO2 emissions and their efficiency level, delivering various views and filter options for comprehensive analyses and in-depth investigations. Additionally, customers receive information that allows them to better understand the causes of CO2 emissions, thus providing a starting point for decarbonization measures.
Smart Function for Arrival Time Calculation
Through the myDHLi Track, Analytics, and Reports features, the platform provides customers with all necessary data. As the quality and reliability of the estimated arrival time (ETA) can vary significantly depending on the sea carrier and have decreased markedly over the past year, DHL Global Forwarding has now established an automatic ETA forecasting function based on data analytics. Smart ETA predicts arrival times up to 48 percent more accurately than is possible with the information provided by the carriers.
Full Transparency and Control
In 2020, DHL Global Forwarding presented Follow + Share, a core function of myDHLi. Inspired by popular social media features, Follow + Share allows customers to share information with their own colleagues, customers, and suppliers, significantly simplifying communication along the entire supply chain. With the latest upgrade, Follow + Share now offers configurable notifications, enabling users to set general notifications for specific events in transport, such as status changes. Furthermore, users can now also configure notifications according to their individual needs, such as specific transport routes or modes of transport.
Customize the Portal
The customer portal myDHLi, successfully launched two years ago, sets new standards in an industry that is still in the early stages of complete digitalization. Its modular design allows users to easily customize their portal. In addition to a strong focus on more sustainable logistics, digitalization is one of the strategic pillars of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. To further advance developments in this area for the logistics industry, the myDHLi Digital Summit was launched last year. The annual event provides the ideal platform to showcase innovations related to the customer portal myDHLi while actively promoting digital transformation in logistics – in line with the corporate strategy of Deutsche Post DHL Group: “Excellence in a Digital World.”
