Würfel Group Sells Jumbo Swap Bodies Division to Westfalia
30. May 2022The piece goods network Online System Logistics (OSL) has gained a new system partner: On June 1, LTN GmbH from Dortmund will join the network. LTN GmbH will first serve the OSL central hub in Schlitz during the night from June 1 to June 2. For distribution in the region north of Dortmund and hub traffic, LTN can rely on a fleet of over 100 vehicles. The company employs over 150 staff at nine locations in North Rhine-Westphalia.
(Paderborn) With the entry of the new system partner, the freight forwarder Kockel from Soest is exiting the piece goods network; Kockel was previously operating as an OSL service provider. Service providers support OSL with distribution and procurement but do not contribute any cargo themselves. “We have now taken another step closer to our goal of having only system partners in the network,” explains Verena Käuper, authorized signatory at Online System Logistics. “As soon as only system partners are in the network, all parties involved will have the same rights and obligations, and elaborate special regulations for non-partners will be eliminated.”
Stable Economic Situation in NRW
According to the Competence Network Logistics.NRW, the shipment volume in North Rhine-Westphalia remains stable despite the generally tense economic situation. The logistics companies surveyed by the competence network even expect that the utilization rate in the most populous federal state will increase. About 18 of the 50 largest German trading companies are based here; the food industry, machinery, and vehicle manufacturing are particularly strong in the Münsterland region. In the metropolitan area of North Rhine-Westphalia, 17 out of a total of 91 system partners are active for OSL.
