Liebherr Presents the New Mobile Harbour Crane Series
8. June 2022The Cargo Trans Logistik AG (CTL) is completely restructuring its piece goods transport to France. The optimized concept includes improved connections, transit times, and rates, as well as a high degree of automation. To achieve this, the network cooperation is intensifying its collaboration with the French Heppner Group.
(Homburg Efze) CTL partner companies can now feed their goods for the German neighboring country through five hubs of the piece goods cooperation. Heppner locations serve as gateways for the transports. Daily routes between the CTL hubs and the branches of the freight forwarding and logistics company ensure coverage of all French departments within a few days.
“With the restructuring of the France transports, we offer our partners a best-option concept and optimal access to an increasingly growing market,” says CTL board member Francesco De Lauso. Feed-ins are possible through five of the six CTL locations – Aurach, Düsseldorf, Grolsheim, Homberg, and Lauenau. Daily transports between the hubs of the piece goods cooperation and five locations in Germany of the Heppner Group ensure smooth and fast delivery to all departments of France.
Shipments to Paris and Lyon in 48 Hours
Shipments, for example, to Lyon or Paris are processed within 48 hours, while transports to Corsica are possible within six days. Heppner locations in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gronau, Kehl, and Kornwestheim are utilized for this. This provides even better service for CTL partners. “With the close scheduling to France, we offer our partners and their customers maximum flexibility in fulfilling the services,” says De Lauso.
CTL partners who feed their goods into the network for France transports through the new gateway structure benefit, among other things, from an optimized cost structure. Two rates are available for transport. Either the price is determined based on the pallets to be transported or by the weight of the shipments. “Once we receive the shipment data, we automatically determine the optimal rate for our partner,” assures De Lauso.
Seamless Shipment Status
Furthermore, the shipment status is recorded seamlessly and transparently from the respective hub to delivery in France. Notifications are also possible in all departments, and fixed appointments with time specifications can be arranged. Piece goods shipments of up to four pallets, packages up to six meters, and even hazardous goods can be transported through the improved service. “France is a very attractive market for us and our partner companies. We are pleased to offer another service with great added value starting now,” says De Lauso.
Great Opportunities for Further Development
Ghislain Fernandez, Managing Director of Heppner’s international branches, emphasizes: “We are pleased to offer CTL our strong network throughout France. We have adapted the piece goods production to France to provide an optimized service regarding the hubs and the tracking system. I am confident that this step will open up great opportunities for further development.”
