DVF: Transport Sector Aims to Implement Ambitious EU Climate Goals
9. June 2022The Post Business Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of Austrian Post AG, unites all solutions in the field of information and business processes under a common new brand. Through the merger of the four previous subsidiaries Scanpoint, EMD, D2D, and sendhybrid, business customers will now receive all services integrated and from a single source. This makes Post Business Solutions one of the largest document outsourcing players in Austria.
(Wien) Four subsidiaries of Austrian Post AG – Scanpoint, EMD, D2D, and sendhybrid – process 1.6 million pages daily for 450 business customers from eight countries, primarily from the fields of public administration, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and industrial companies. To better support business customers on their way to a competitive future, the four existing subsidiary brands have been united under the common brand “Post Business Solutions.” This solidifies Post’s position in the Austrian market as an experienced and reliable partner for companies in analyzing, outsourcing, and automating information and business processes.
“One Face to the Customer”
A unified brand appearance under the motto “One Face to the Customer” ensures that more than 30 physical and digital solutions in this area are integrated and offered from a single source. The bundled expertise and the new brand are also reflected in a new logo under the umbrella of Austrian Post AG. “Under the new brand Post Business Solutions, we are consolidating our business process solutions and becoming one of the largest providers of document outsourcing in the Austrian market. Instead of four subsidiaries, Post Business Solutions now offers a unified platform for our customers that combines process know-how, state-of-the-art technology, and the reliability of Post,” says DI Walter Oblin, Deputy General Director and Board Member for Mail & Finance of Austrian Post AG.
Efficient Use of Resources
Around 30 solutions from Post Business Solutions cover the entire usage cycle of information from inside to outside and within a company. This cycle is implemented in four steps: 1) Pickup and delivery of letter and mail items as part of mailroom management (“Collect your data”), 2) digital transformation of documents (“Transform your data”), 3) document management (“Manage your data”), and 4) optimization of customer communication (“Communicate your data”). In this area, Post Business Solutions already holds one of the leading positions in the Austrian market in terms of production performance: 500 million pages are printed annually – invoices, letters, notifications, and more. Through various solutions, a total of 80 million pages are digitized each year. For example, invoices can be processed within 24 hours using artificial intelligence and verification by experienced employees of Post Business Solutions, guaranteeing 100% data quality. Additionally, 4.2 million business documents are delivered digitally each year through the E-Letter. Furthermore, Post Business Solutions utilizes innovative technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and adheres to the highest European standards in data protection. “By outsourcing to Post Business Solutions, companies can free up important resources for their core tasks and tap into quality improvement and cost-saving potentials. As a sparring partner for business processes, we offer our customers all services from a single source and accompany them on the path to a digital and sustainable future,” explains Mag. George Wallner, M.Sc., Head of Business Field Post Business Solutions at Austrian Post AG.
Through the merger of the four previous subsidiaries into Post Business Solutions GmbH, the existing production sites in Graz, Haid bei Linz, Vienna, and Nitra, as well as all jobs of the total 520 employees, will be retained. At the same time, the planned growth strategy aims to create up to 70 new jobs in the coming years.
