DACHSER Expands Logistics Capacity in the Hanover Region
14. June 2022The globally operating full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics acquires the night express provider “OptimNet Solutions s.r.o.” based in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. With this, Hellmann continues its successful expansion strategy in the night express services segment and opens up another important part of the Central and Eastern European market.
(Osnabrück/Prague) Shareholder Ondřej Zíta remains Managing Director and will seamlessly continue the operational business together with Wilfried Hesselmann (Head of CEP Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics), ensuring that business relationships with all customers can continue as before.
The night express specialist OptimNet, founded in Prague in 2016, has developed very successfully in recent years both in the Czech and, since 2018, in the Slovak market. After the acquisition of Innight last year, which opened up the Hungarian and Romanian markets, Hellmann has now completed the gap to Germany with this acquisition and will particularly expand night express services for the agricultural and automotive sectors. This will enable Hellmann to meet the steadily growing demand for smooth and fast supply of spare parts in this strategically important core customer segment and also to open up further segments.
Expansion of Night Express Services
“With the expansion of our night express services in Eastern Europe, we are taking another consistent step in our expansion strategy, which we initiated at the beginning of last year and have successfully developed in the meantime,” says Jörg Herwig, Chief Operating Officer Road & Rail, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
“I am pleased that we are acquiring all 37 employees of OptimNet. This secures livelihoods on one hand and allows us to seamlessly build on the business relationships successfully established in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in recent years, to continue growing here and beyond in Eastern Europe,” adds Wilfried Hesselmann, Head of CEP Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
Further Developing the Eastern European Market
“As a new member of the Hellmann F.A.M.I.L.Y, I am excited to further develop the Eastern European market together with our new colleagues and to drive expansion into new industries,” says Ondřej Zíta, Managing Director CEP CZ/SVK, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
