Customs Savings for Switzerland in Billions Thanks to Free Trade
15. June 2022The protection of the climate is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Logiline will integrate its existing activities, particularly in the area of environmental and climate protection, into a sustainable management system for continuous improvement. Individual KPIs, the attainment of certifications, and annual reporting are of high priority.
(Langenhagen) The success of emission reductions largely depends on the voluntary and consistent actions of the economy in industrialized countries. Logiline GmbH also takes responsibility for the world that is passed on to future generations.
The greenhouse gas emissions caused by the company’s activities have been quantified and offset through the acquisition of a total of 96 climate protection certificates for the year 2022. With these certificates, Logiline supports a PET recycling project in Romania and a cooking stove project in Sudan, both certified by the Gold Standard.
Greening of the Company Grounds
More than 60 percent of the designated industrial and commercial areas in Germany are sealed, according to the Leibniz Institute for Ecological Spatial Development. This is not only a bleak sight but also has far-reaching consequences for climate and environment. This prompted Logiline, in collaboration with the Environmental Center Hannover e. V., to implement the project “Branch Nature – Designing Company Grounds in a Nature-Friendly Manner” on-site.
Relaxing Quiet Areas for Humans and Animals
The grounds of LOGILINE have high potential to provide many animal species, particularly insects, with a food and living space through optimally planned greening. Among other things, the settlement of wild bees, butterflies, and beetles is actively promoted. At the same time, relaxing quiet areas can be created, thus providing a usable added value for employees. So it’s a win-win-win situation.
