Caja Robotics, a leading provider of robot-based and flexible goods-to-person solutions in fulfillment, will work closely with Fives, one of the world’s leading providers and integrators of advanced material handling and intelligent automation solutions. The two companies signed a corresponding agreement in June 2022. Through mutual exchange of know-how and technical expertise, as well as a deep understanding of customer needs and market requirements, both companies aim to strengthen their position in the market.
The solution from Caja Robotics complements Fives’ technology portfolio and will enable the intralogistics integrator to expand its offering in the area of piece picking. In particular, customers from the textile and footwear sectors will benefit from automating their omnichannel logistics. On the other hand, Caja Robotics will expand its access to the southern European markets, where Fives already holds a leading position.
Advanced Software and Specialized In-House Robots
Caja Robotics has developed a solution for flexible and scalable automation of warehouse logistics processes that combines powerful robots, intelligently planned picking stations, and specialized AI-driven software. Controlled by Caja’s cloud-based, advanced fleet management, the robots move boxes and containers between the picking stations and the shelves, constantly optimizing inventory management and the overall warehouse operation. Caja’s state-of-the-art warehouse technology can be easily adapted to existing warehouse structures and later to changing needs, and is flexible enough to handle order peaks.
The solution is particularly suitable for the specific requirements of industries with fluctuating throughput rates such as e-commerce and retail logistics.
Collaboration Holds Great Potential
The collaboration thus holds great potential for synergy effects for both companies. “Automated warehouses are a competitive advantage to meet the challenges of the future. A particular advantage of the collaboration is Fives’ extensive internal experience and resources, which enable Caja Robotics to tailor its solution to the needs of a variety of customers and target industries.
