21. June 2022The Institute for Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen (ISCM-HSG) is hosting the Supply Chain Innovation Day 2022 (SCID) on September 27, 2022, at the Würth House Rorschach. This all-day flagship event has established itself as a staple in the calendar of the logistics and supply chain community in recent years.
(St. Gallen/Rorschach) The ISCM-HSG has been a guarantor of unique exchanges with high-profile experts from industry, research, and practice, with representatives from renowned companies as well as innovative start-ups in the SCM sector for many years.
This year, the SCID will take place under the motto: “Supply Chains Under Constant Pressure – Mastering Disruptions with Innovations” and is particularly aimed at executives, decision-makers, interested parties, and start-ups from logistics and the supply chain community. The program will be framed by two prominent keynotes. This year, Nils Haupt from Hapag-Lloyd and Ingo Steinkrüger from Interroll have been secured as speakers for the event. The thematic focuses of the SCID are the following sessions:
- Deep-sea shipping, hinterland transport, and particularly inland shipping
- More sustainability through innovative intralogistics
- Managing volatility in logistics markets: Challenges – Practices – Tools
- Spread of hydrogen drives in road freight transport
Selected Experts
Selected experts will have the opportunity to share their experiences and expertise on stage in one-hour sessions, before the discussion is interactively expanded to the audience by experienced moderators.
In generous break formats, the well-being and relaxed opportunities for exchange are well taken care of: With the integrated change concept during breaks, participants have the chance to engage directly with the professionals and executives of the participating sponsors and start-ups at many company booths and expand their network.
Start-ups and Award Winners Showcase Their Innovations
Start-ups, as the epitome of innovation-driving and creating companies, play a very special role at the event. Beyond the mentioned company booths, participating young companies will present their innovative business models in a central session to the event plenary. Representatives of the corporates will have the opportunity to arrange individual “speed dates” with the start-ups in parallel.
As another highlight, the winners of the Eco Performance Award 2022 will present themselves in the sessions “Arena of Solutions.” Exciting new concepts and sustainable solutions from large companies will be showcased to the participants.
Casual Conclusion at the Lake Constance Shore
After the program concludes, the evening event, the Management Board Summit, marks the cozy part of the event. After a brief greeting from the support association of the ISCM-HSG, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere right by the beautiful shores of Lake Constance. The SCID has consciously stood for a relaxed and family-like atmosphere for years. Business attire can therefore be left at home. The dress code is casual/sporty.
